Namibia Journeys
Red dunes, shipwreck coasts and desert-adapted wildlife under some of Earth's darkest skies.
Why travel here
Namibia is a desert country whose draw is landscape as much as wildlife: the towering dunes of Sossusvlei, the fog-bound Skeleton Coast, desert elephant and black rhino in Damaraland, and classic waterhole game viewing in Etosha.
What you will experience
- Sossusvlei & Deadvlei: red dunes such as Big Daddy and Dune 45, and Deadvlei's white clay pan, in the UNESCO-listed Namib Sand Sea.
- Skeleton Coast National Park: shipwrecks, roaring dunes, clay castles and seal colonies.
- Etosha National Park: a vast salt pan ringed by waterholes, with elephant, lion and black and white rhino.
- Damaraland: Twyfelfontein rock engravings, desert elephant and free-roaming black rhino.
- Kaokoland & the Kunene River: desert lion, Himba communities and a river oasis on the Angolan border.
- Okonjima Nature Reserve: leopard, pangolin and rhino tracking with the AfriCat Foundation.
