Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before planning with FetPak Tours.
Planning, prices and travel
Are your prices per person?
Yes. Prices are "from" prices in US dollars per person sharing a room or tent, based on research in October 2026. Single travellers usually pay a single supplement.
Are international flights included?
No, international flights are not included unless your quote says so. We can include regional flights and light-aircraft transfers within Africa.
Why is the price a range rather than fixed?
Lodge rates, park fees and permits change with season and availability. Your final price is confirmed in a written quote before you pay anything.
How do I book?
Send us your plans through the Plan My Trip form, WhatsApp or email. We send an itinerary and quote; once you approve it, full payment secures your lodges, permits and transfers.
Do I need a visa?
Most visitors need an electronic travel authorisation or visa for Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda. Rules change and depend on your passport, so we confirm current requirements for you before travel.
When is the best time to travel?
For East African safaris, the long dry season (roughly June to October) is peak time; the Great Migration river crossings are usually July to September. Gorilla trekking runs all year. Mauritius is pleasant year-round.
How far ahead should I book gorilla permits?
Rwanda and Uganda permits are limited, so book as early as possible, ideally 6 to 12 months ahead for peak months.
Is travel insurance required?
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance with medical evacuation cover. Some destinations and lodges require it.
Can you plan family trips or honeymoons?
Yes. We choose family-friendly lodges and activities, or romantic camps and private-pool villas for couples.
